I study IoT systems that integrate power, communication, sensing and control, and I validate theory through real implementations. My current topics are:

  1. Device-free wireless sensing that estimates human activity and spatial conditions (crowding, rainfall) from Wi-Fi CSI and RSSI, combined with positioning-free signal-source clustering.
  2. Battery-free backscatter communication that extends RFID to stream many sensor signals at the same time while keeping compatibility with the RFID standard.
  3. An Internet-style power platform that connects small generation and storage units, including routing in hub-based DC grids and faster control using quantum annealing.

I am also applying these technologies to healthcare, such as urine-volume sensing for end-of-life care.
